Once again, the Canadian International AutoShow is coming to Toronto giving us the opportunity to see what is available on the automobile market. This year's Show encompasses over 850,000 sq. ft. in the North & South Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Rogers Centre. Over 1,000 new cars and trucks are on display featuring many North American and Canadian premieres. The 2008 auto show opens to the public from February 15th to February 24th, 2008.

Few 2008 Toronto autoshow highlights:

2009 Audi A4

The all-new well-equipped 2009 Audi A4 features new design, more power and better fuel economy thanks to many technological advancements. The new A4 reaches the Canadian market in the Fall of 2008.


2009 Corvette ZR1

Another supercar by GM - the 2009 Corvette ZR1 features 6.2L 620 h.p. small-block V-8 engine with a large, positive-displacement Roots-type supercharger with a new, four-lobe rotor design.


2008 Dodge Journey

Reflecting global trends, Dodge delivers “right-sized” crossover - the all-new Dodge Journey. Dodge Journey offers the practicality of a minivan, the capability of a sport-utility vehicle and the efficiency of a passenger car.


2009 Ford F 150

Ford shows the new 2009 F150. Ford promises that the new 2009 F150 will be the toughest, most capable truck in the industry with the most `smart ' features. The new F150 will deliver better fuel economy and will also feature a new V-8 lineup with six-speed transmission.


2009 Ford Flex

Another display by Ford - the 2009 Ford Flex, the new Canadian built full-size spacious crossover with seating for seven. A class-exclusive refrigerated 2nd row centre console, capless fuel system and available Multi-Panel Vista Roof ™ are among the offered features.


2009 Hyundai Genesis

Hyundai brings new Genesis to the Toronto auto show. Targeting luxury car market, the new Genesis will offer similar capabilities and features to those expected in $60,000 premium sedans, along with the value expected from Hyundai.


Mitsubishi Concept-cX

The MITSUBISHI Concept-cX is a new-generation compact SUV that is ment to be a balance between environmental concerns and everyday practical performance. The Concept-cX uses a new high-output, high-efficiency 1.8-liter clean diesel engine, featuring a variable geometry (VG) turbocharger and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) with diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust system for compliance with Europe's Euro 5 emission standards. Among the number of new environmental technologies applied in the Concept-cX is the extensive use of interior trim materials made from Mitsubishi's own Green Plastic – made from bamboo and other plant-based resins.


2009 Nissan GT-R

Nissan shows the all-new 2009 Nissan GT-R. The new Nissan GT-R is built on a new platform that enables the use of a world’s first independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, which optimizes weight distribution and handling capability. This layout places the transmission, transfer case and final drive at the rear of the vehicle, without the use of traditional torque tubes, allowing the suspension to operate independently and optimizing tire grip at each corner. The GT-R will be available on sale for the first time in Canada, in the Summer of 2008.
