Vlad Samarin loves cars. Since the mid-eighties he has changed close to 50 vehicles, all of which he maintained and repaired himself. He worked as a professional auto mechanic for a number of years. He also routinely helps friends, relatives and other people with car buying process as well as with car maintenance and repair questions. He started this site in 2000 to help other people with their car troubles and share some of his knowledge about cars.

Vlad holds an ASE Master Certification, a Canadian automotive technician license and a bachelor of electronics engineering degree.

With an extensive experience in various aspects of the automotive business, from rebuilding engines and transmissions to computerized diagnostics, from auto body repair to painting and detailing, he's done it all.

In his free time Vlad enjoys photography, travel, outdoors and playing table tennis.
